Managed to take a few photos of the elk horn knife I’d been working on before sending it off to a collector in Ontario.

I fashioned this hunting knife with a drop guard and framed the guard with black Micarta liners. A special brass oval was inserted in the butt of the handle to finish it. Most knifemakers don’t bother with this step, but I always like to add this custom oval of brass to finish it off.

The oval and front of the guard have both been dimpled to add a bit more class.  I’ve also added filework on the spine of the 5″ blade and as always, gave it a mirror polish finish.
